The University of Idaho is hosting its first annual symposium on nurturing our land, water and air, and the new economic and moral imperative of sustainability. It is a timely effort, as sustainability challenges and initiatives have become prominent political, economic and social issues in our communities, the nation and the world. The University is proud to have been a leader and advocate of sustainability for decades.

PRESIDENT'S SUSTAINABILITY SYMPOSIUM
"Carbon, Climate and Our Environment:
Partnerships for Success"

This inaugural symposium will address the significant issue of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the role of government, business and higher education partnerships in seeking solutions to problems related to these emissions. Scheduled presenters include:

The sustainability symposium will join leaders from all sectors of society to discuss and identify new opportunities for collaborative efforts. This symposium is very much about you and how you can make a difference in your field, job or sector; it's about how you can achieve greater impacts and better solutions in partnership with leaders from other sectors.
