Katelyn and Laurie Shook say music is the passion in their lives. Since graduating from the University of Idaho with degrees in Radio-TV-Digital Media Production in December 2006, they have recorded 21 original songs and two CDs. The Shook Twins are well known in north Idaho and eastern Washington as performers of acoustic folk/rock music. They have plans for a West Coast tour and dreams of a recording contract. They grounded their high expectations in music with their education at the University of Idaho. Katelyn and Laurie took courses in journalism, broadcasting, and audio and video production. When a class assignment called for producing a documentary, the sisters loaded up their video gear and went on tour with a friend's band to shoot concert footage. Someday, they'd love to host a show on The Travel Channel called "The Travel Twins." "When it comes to music, and editing video, we have the same vision," Katelyn says. "It's nice because there really aren't any arguments," Laurie adds. The Shook Twins already have a broad understanding of the music business. Now they are ready to make the most of any opportunity that comes their way in performing, production and life.
