You have been assigned an advisor based on your major. If you have decided to change majors since you applied, please contact the Admissions Office to change your major and then find an advisor in your new major. How to Find Your Academic AdvisorAdvisors are assigned based on your chosen major. 1. Find your collegeA college is a subdivision of the University. At the University of Idaho there are 10 colleges that offer degrees within a specific subject area. For example, the College of Engineering offers degree programs including: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The major you have chosen is within one of these colleges. Start by locating your college on the Advising Contact List. 2. Find your majorOnce you have located your college, you should see your major below your college. For example, if your major is English, you will find that English is within the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences (CLASS) and is listed as a major under that college on the Advising Contact List. 3. Find your advisorTo the right of your major you will see the name, e-mail and phone number of the person you need to contact to be assigned an academic adviser. |
