Each year the University of Idaho attracts some of the nation's most accomplished high school graduates. They come for our distinct combination of leading academics, accomplished faculty and a robust residential campus.
We offer a variety of learning options depending on what you need to further your academic career.
What type of student are you?
- New Student... If you've never attended college before - or if you have fewer than 14 college credits.
- Transfer Student... If you're transferring from another institution.
- International Student... If you are from another country and are not a permanent resident of the United States.
- Non-degree Student... If you are interested in taking courses but are not planning to seek a formal Idaho degree. (Note: Limitations on credit load and financial aid eligibility apply.)
- High-School Student... If you are in high school (or have yet to obtain your GED) and wish to take a class at the University of Idaho.
- Returning Student... If you are returning to the University of Idaho and have not attended within the last two years. (Note: If you have attended the University within the past two years and are in good academic standing, you do not need to apply again unless you are changing levels. Simply contact your advisor and register for classes).
- American Language and Culture Program Student... If you are interested in English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction.
- NIC Joint Admission Student... If you are a current or prospective NIC student and wish to apply as a joint admission student.
