Being of service to others is an integral part of who we are at the University of Idaho. Volunteering helps you enhance the high-quality education you'll receive and provides opportunities to participate as a member of the world community.
- The ASUI Center for Volunteerism and Social Action strives to foster lifelong commitments to service and civic action - and provides opportunities for students like you to plan service projects and participate in social activism.
- Opportunities to volunteer are plentiful at Idaho. Whether you value cleaning up the environment, assisting in the aftermath of natural disasters, working with children or helping the elderly, you'll have an outlet at Idaho.
- Volunteering is a chance not only to help others, but to develop valuable skills. For example, student volunteers with our Alternative Service Breaks program spent spring break 2006 in Waveland, Mississippi, a town virtually obliterated by Hurricane Katrina. They rebuilt houses, taught schoolchildren and created a blog about their experiences.
