As a first year student, if you decide to live in a residence hall you will probably choose to live in the Theophilus Tower, an "all first-year student" building, or in the Wallace Residence Center, a building that houses first year through senior and even graduate level students.

The design of the Tower and Wallace allows you to open your doors when you are home studying or hanging out. This open-door atmosphere in your hall means it is easy to connect with other students and get a group together to go for ice cream, a movie, or lunch.

Wallace is a hub of Residence Life activity with the main food court, game room, and mail center in the building.

The Tower environment makes it easy to meet other students and get involved in campus life. Living communities in the tower are designed to help students connect and create study groups. All 11 floors in the Theophilus tower are single sex.

Choosing to live in Wallace or the Tower is about finding a community that fits you best, and also about choosing which building and room layout you like best. Visit campus and tour the residence halls or check out the photos on the University Residences website to see the different room layouts.

The living learning communities are the newest residence hall community on campus. The buildings are a hybrid between a residence hall and an apartment, designed with upper-division students in mind. They provide space for social activities, while also having more individual space for projects and studying.
