Mission:

As the University of Idaho continues its transition to a Responsibility Center Management structure, RCM leadership and participation in decisions affecting the complete university enterprise is increasingly important.  Broader leadership input should ensure ownership in the decision process and the coordinated and sustained management of the institution towards its collective strategic goals.

The structure contributes to the implementation of the strategic plan goals of the university through enhanced ownership in policy decisions and in improved communication and coordination of strategic program direction.  Faculty governance plays an important role in implementation of strategic plan goals at the University of Idaho.  The involvement of faculty leadership in the decision review process would further recognize faculty as part of the university’s leadership team and facilitate their ownership in decisions affecting the university.   

Executive Council:

Executive Council is advisory to the President in its review and recommendation of all policy-level actions affecting both the academic and non-academic business of the university.  Its membership includes:
